Maly – First Free MOPS Co-Coordinator

I’m originally from a small town here in Neb., but moved to Lincoln to go to Wesleyan, where I met my husband Trent. He is a chiropractor and I stay at home with kids.  We have been married for  16 years and have four boys, Kane (8th grade), Malachi (5th grade), Elijah (2nd Grade), and Judah (4 years old). This is my 13th year in leadership as I served as Hospitality and Co-Coordinator for 2 years each in the past.  I spent 8 years coordinating fundraising and special events. I love shopping for great deals and am passionate about MOPS, healthy living (ok, I love my sweets though), and breastfeeding (my hubby and I served on the Board of Directors at Milkworks for 10 years.)

I am on fire for Christ! I have a passion for being a mother and strive to show a gentle spirit like Jesus. My husband is currently in dental school and we have been married for 5 years. I have a precious 16 month old and I am currently pregnant with my 2nd. I will be due in December of 2018 with a little boy! This will be my first year as Mops Co-Coordinator and I hope to bring joy to all the moms who attend!

I’m a small town Western Kansas girl, second oldest of 13 children, who left home at the age of 18 to explore a big wild world, crisscrossing states and international boarders. My God given talents in sports helped fuel my educational pursuits as I journeyed, and I found myself completing a doctorate in human resources & workforce management with an international emphasis while working with the Arkansas Razorback football team. In the romantic atmosphere of turf and sweat, an injured offensive lineman brought my husband and I together. After enduring 2 years of dating long distance, while I was living in South Korea and he worked for the Buffalo Bills, we flew to the Dominican Republic 8 years ago to elope, emailing our family to say we would see them all after the honeymoon. Three states & 3 toddlers later we are enjoying life in Lincoln, Nebraska and looking forward to all the blessings yet to come on this amazing adventure of life.

I am the blessed momma of 3 amazing kiddos. Being a mom has always been my dream job (and I have the elementary school classwork to prove it!) and I am so thankful that I get to be home with my babies. I also work very part time as a Career Counselor at Nebraska Wesleyan University for adult and graduate students, which I love. My husband is a web developer and avid video gamer. I treasure being able to share in the journey of motherhood with other moms, encouraging, supporting, and learning from one another. This year will be my fourth in MOPS. I have so enjoyed getting to do life with other moms in MOPS and am looking forward to seeing how God works in and through us to “find our fire”!

 – Finance and Registration

My husband Kyle and I have been married for 13 years this past June. We have attended First Free for 13 years this August. Kyle and I have two boys, Landen (10 1/2), Logan (7), and our daughter, Brynlee, who will turn 3 on August 15th! I continue to be blessed with the opportunity to be a stay at home mom and grow in my faith along side amazing mom’s and women of God. This will be my sixth year with MOPS. Wow!!! I’ve served as a Friendship Group Leader for three years, a Friendship Group Leader Co-Coordinator for one year and have been blessed with the opportunity to be the Finance/Registration Coordinator for this upcoming year. I look forward to serving and being a walking testimony of God’s word. I love to see God’s work in all the women that come through the doors at First Free MOPS, to see that MOPS isn’t just a get together, but it’s a place with open doors welcoming these moms in to share their stories and for us as leaders to be witnesses of God’s word to each one of them. I pray that God will witness to each of our hearts this year as we spend our time together.
