Holiday Events at FEFC

Here is the Holiday Event Schedule at First Evangelical Free Church (84th & Van Dorn),  our MOPS home church.

Holiday Info & Events

Dec. 8: Special guest speaker, Jeffrey D. Miller:

Born and raised Jewish, Jeffrey turned away from God at an early age. He thought that his secular ways were the key to an exciting career in broadcasting. But when Jeffrey surrendered his life to Jesus, he committed his career to telling the Jewish truth about Jesus. Jeffrey will be our guest speaker during both worship services on Sunday, Dec. 8. His topic “Is Christmas Really Jewish?” will address how the birth of Jesus interacts with Judaism.

Dec. 8: Lincoln Youth Symphony Orchestra:

All are welcome to come and enjoy the Lincoln Youth Symphony Orchestra as they present a wonderful concert of Christmas classics on Dec. 8 starting at 7 p.m. in the Worship Center. The very talented Clark Potter, from our First Free Church family, is the director. This is a free event, though donations to support the Lincoln Youth Symphony Orchestra will be accepted. Refreshments will be served following the concert.

Dec. 12: Second Wind Ministries’ “Christmas Celebration”:

Come join Second Wind Ministry for a “Christmas Celebration” on Thursday, Dec. 12 in the Multipurpose Room (at First Free Church) starting at 7:00 p.m. This event will feature Eleanor Brunott on the piano. There will also be Christmas carol singing and special singers. After the concert, enjoy a time of  fellowship. For those involved in Second Wind Ministry, please bring a plate of Christmas goodies to share. All are welcome to join us in this celebration of Christmas. For more information, please contact De Troxel  (402) 328-9507 , Randy & Linda Fitch  (402) 489-9763  or Herman & Marj Rohlfs  (402) 488-9218 .

Dec. 15: Artistic presentation by Rita Salazar-Dickerson:

Raised in Grand Junction, Colorado, Rita has known since she was a little girl that she was meant to be an artist. Though mostly a painter of commissioned portraits and landscapes, Rita loves to explore new artistic avenues, and will share her unique gift for creating inspirational paintings “live” to musical accompaniment during both worship services on Sunday, Dec. 15.

Dec. 15: Children’s Christmas Program “David’s Dynasty”:

This year’s Children’s Christmas Program, “David’s Dynasty”, is a quirky, fun combination of today’s wildly popular television characters from “Duck Dynasty” and the ancient story of how God’s love came to Bethlehem. Starts at 6:30 p.m. at First Free Church on Sunday, Dec. 15 in the Worship Center. Enjoy some cookies and fellowship after the program.
