We were reading the Bible and Our Daily Bread short devotional the other night . Now that our kids are older, we can almost make it through the short readings without interruptions. Sometimes. The topic was jealousy, and as I was reading, something clicked. I realized that competition is often a result of jealousy. We feel the need to compete when we don’t feel like we measure up – when we want to have or be what someone has or is. I had already sent the newsletter to be published, so I couldn’t add anything further to that (Some of the E-Free administrative assistants take care of the copying for me – yes, I know I am spoiled!) But I was really feeling like that maybe I needed to delve into this topic a little further. So, I decided that a blog post was definitely in order. So, if you have any of the same jealousy struggles or if you want to know how to avoid feeling envious, here is a great mini Bible study for you! (I used http://www.biblegateway.com (the NIV version) in formulating this list – a great way to look up topics from the Bible – you can even compare versions).
