Summer Reading Programs

Lincoln City Libraries are kicking off their summer reading program this week on Friday June 1st  from 3:30-5:30 at Bennett Martin Library.

For more events that are happening at the area libraries, you can visit:

http://www.lincolnlibraries.org/kids/summer_reading_program.htm

You can pick up activity forms at any of the area libraries.  Since children can count books that are read to them, children as young as 2 can participate in getting the summer prizes.   Even if you choose not to work toward completing the reading booklets, many of the different activities are in the morning – perfect for preschoolers!

Have elementary age kids that need a bigger challenge?  Have them participate in the Barnes & Noble summer reading challenge.

Your child needs to read 8 books and document that, then you can head to Barnes & Noble to pick a free book from their designated titles list.  For more information, please visit:

Happy reading!

P.S. I will be posting the VBS list soon – please get your VBS information to me ASAP if you want your church included.  Thanks!
