Planting Seeds of Faith

I was SO blessed by the mentors sharing from their hearts yesterday – always wonderful to hear perspective from moms that are further along on their parenting journey. I am very thankful for the gift of mentors who are seeking after God!

I promised that I would send a link to the worship series that Lorri recommended.  The cds are available on Amazon – you can purchase the hard copies (from 11.89-16.99 depending on the title) or download the MP3’s for $8.99.

The cd’s are available individually for $10.99 on the Christian Book Distributors Site (www.cbd.com).  You will have to pay a small shipping fee, but occasionally they have free shipping.    You can also buy all 6 cd’s together for a bit more savings ($59.99).

Sandy shared with us how to help our kids with anxiety.  (I don’t know about you, but I often need that help myself!)  She said she passes out a card that helps people deal with anxiety.  You can make your own on an index card.

On the front …

SAY TWICE AUDIBLY

On the back:

Philippians 4:6-9

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever is TRUE, whatever is HONORABLE, whatever is RIGHT, whatever is LOVELY, whatever is of GOOD REPUTE,  if there is any EXCELLENCE and if anything WORTHY OF PRAISE let your minddwell on these things.

The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace shall be with you.”

Blessings on your week!

Gretchen…thanks for your faithfulness to get all these wonderful resources on facebook! I LOVE reading your blogs…often they are timely wisdom…even for a mom with middle school and high school students! I don’t think those “life lessons” EVER grow old! 🙂 Blessings on everyone!
