The Mexico missions trip from E-Free left yesterday. Here is some more information from Lorri on how we can be praying for all of them during the next several days. How cool to think that not only could we impact the retreat through the gift of Bible but also through the gift of prayer! Amazing!
Our Mexico mission team will be hosting a women’s retreat in Ensenada Mexico this coming weekend. Because of our long term relationship with the church there, Igelesia Getsemene, they approached us nearly 2 years ago about a retreat where their women would be encouraged, as many face difficult situations in their home lives, including abuse, neglect, alcohol and drug abuse and strained family relationships. Our goal is to encourage them spiritually in their walks with the Lord, but also to laugh and have fun as women coming together for a purpose. We have skits, testimonies, a “store” with play money, a prayer room as well as solid Biblical teaching, and of course good food. 🙂 Through your generous gifts we are able to give each woman a Spanish “Jesus Storybook Bible” as well as a personal decorated bookmark with messages from our MOPS moms. One of our team members also raised money to give each woman a Spanish version of Sara Young’s “Jesus Calling” devotional. We are trusting God for 60 women, which will be coming from 4 groups, 2 churches, a prison ministry team, and a rehab facility team that we work with on a regular basis.
We are so excited to see what God will accomplish through your gifts and the preparation that has taken place in the last 6 months. Please pray that God will work in a mighty way in the hearts and minds of these women, that there would be Unity of Spirit among all of us, and that we can encourage one another and spur one another on to greater love and good deeds.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this, and I can’t wait to give a report after I return!
We leave Wed. morning, Nov. 2nd, the retreat is Friday night, Nov. 4th and Sat. the 5th, we return on the 7th!
For Him and Through Him,
Here is a list of those going:
Scott and Lorri Goode
Steve and Patty Hermann
Jeff and Susan Lamb

Brian and Chris McPike
Kevin and Beth Pringle
P.S. On a more personal note, about one year ago, two of the members of the First Free Mexico missions trip were involved in a horrific car crash. James survived the accident and is again one of the members of this year’s team, along with his parents. Please be praying for the whole Lamb family as I am sure this is a bittersweet trip for them. Please especially pray for James’ wife and kids, as I am sure it was hard for them to let him go back.
