Pancake Supper March 8th to benefit family in need

Hello MOPS Moms!  I have a special announcement today that will hit close to home for many of you.  Our friends recently had twins 9-weeks early.  Nicole (the mom) was on bedrest, mostly in the hospital, for nearly 6 months after losing a baby early (originally pregnant with triplets).  Her husband, Bo, currently is searching for a full-time job and works part-time for Target.  Nicole’s position with Bryan School of Nursing was threatened to be revoked and they will most likely not continue her contract after August.  They also have twin 2-yr-old girls at home (one naturally theirs, the other is two weeks older and was adopted).  The twins (Riley and Gracie) remain in the NICU in Omaha.  They really need support.  My small group at Sheridan Lutheran is planning a pancake supper for Tuesday, March 8, from 5:30-7:30.  That is Shrove Tuesday (Fat Tuesday), a celebration of the beginning of lent and traditionally a time to have pancakes.  If you are able, please considering attending the event.  This should be a fun and humbling way to celebrate the beginning of Lent as well as to help a local family in need.  A portion of the proceeds will also go to support Sheridan’s Gabriel Ministry, a ministry for families with high-risk pregnancies and early childhood challenges. If you need more information, please let me know.  Thank you and God Bless.

Please help us to spread the word!
